Sunday Morning Bible Study

Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. all ages are welcomed to join the Bible Study in the Fireside Room. The  theme is “Images of Christ”. Good Shepherd. Branch. Cornerstone. Way. There are many images of Christ in Scripture. Some of these word-portraits are easier for us to grasp than others, but each reveals an important aspect of who Christ is. By helping us understand the different images, this series “Images of Christ”, will lead us to know and respond to the reality behind the images–Christ himself–in new and deeper ways. Our summer series started on June 4th and ends on August 27th and be led again my various members of our congregation in the Family Life Center.

“Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World” by Joanna Weaver

The study shows how each of us has some Mary and Martha within. How do we blend intimacy with Jesus and service for Him in the midst of our busy, hectic lives? This ten session DVD study by Joanna Weaver helps us discover the best of both the Mary and Martha parts of our lives, while we deepen our devotion to God and learn to delight in sitting at His feet.

June 5th – August 21st (No Class:  July 3rd, July 24th)

Women’s Bible Study

Join the Women’s Bible study on September 11 in the Fireside Room at 6:45-8:00 p.m. to start our new study on “The Joy of Seeking God First” by Anita Keagy. In 1975 Anita Keagy made the painful decision to give a child up for adoption. The subsequent search for that child led not only to a joyful reunion with her daughter, but to a profound discovery about how God seeks his own children and longs to reveal his true nature to them through His Word. Discover the joy of prioritizing time alone with God on a daily basis. You will be challenged to live out Jesus’ command to “Seek first the kingdom of God”. This four week study will include a 21 day plan to read the book of John.
