Our nation's children have not learned how to save BEFORE they spend. K.I.D.S. Stamps is a Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) program to help children and youth understand the first steps of financial management to avoid the bad habits of overspending AND it gives them a chance to invest in the Church too.
K.I.D.S. encourages students to practice weekly offering and investing as part of sharing, saving, and spending in daily life. The funds children invest earn interest for their personal savings goals (like a new bike, new car, or college) and it also supports LCMS congregations and schools with affordable loans.
From our very own church (Messiah has used three different LCEF loans to fund its construction over the years) to China and Ghana, K.I.D.S. stamps are helping build churches and schools all over the world! Whether you're 6 months or 12 years old. you can have your very own K.I.D.S. savings account and help others at the same time! What are you saving for?
Bring your offering to Sunday School, and your investing money to the Commons Area. Each week, work toward filling up your stamp book before or after the education hour (9:00-10:15 a.m.).
This programs runs from September through May.
