One of the ways we do that is by supporting different organizations that serve people in our own community and around the world. We focus on a different organization–our Mission Focus–every two months.
January & February.
Amnion Pregnancy Center exists to offer the hope of Jesus Christ to those facing unplanned pregnancies. Learn more about Amnion.
In 2023 and 2024, we partnered with Amnion to highlight Sanctity of Life Sunday, hosted our annual Bottles of Life Campaign, and collected clothing and other items to give to new parents.
March & April.
Rooted in Christ, Camp Omega is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of people of all ages. Learn more about Camp Omega.
In 2023 and 2024 we raised money for Camp Omega and hosted a day camp.
May & June.
Youth for Christ International reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ, and commitment to social involvement. We are supporting a specific missionary.
In 2023 and 2024, we raised money for a specific missionary and learned more about the religion and culture of the country where they will live, as well as their travels through the area to start to learn about the ministry.
July & August.
September & October.
Minnesota’s foreign-born population has increased dramatically in recent years, with an influx of immigrants from Somalia, Laos, and India, among other countries. POBLO missionaries and volunteers are involved in missions and community engagement through various efforts. Volunteers teach English, sewing, and computer skills to immigrants and refugees at two International Friendship Centers. Citizenship classes are also offered. Missionaries, together with a group of volunteers, are connecting people from many countries to Bible study and worship as they share the Gospel message. They also provide food, clothing, and furniture to refugees in need. Learn more about POBLO.
2024 is the first year we are partnering with POBLO ministries at Lutheran Church of the Ascension in Burnsville.
November & December.
Project Video proclaims the gospel through media by providing media equipment, training, and working alongside ethnic teams throughout South East Asia. Learn more about Project Video.
In 2021 & 2022 we raised money to help build the International Training Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand and in 2023 we raised money to furnish it.
